I went through this process myself.
Zero offers out of high school. Walked on, junior college, walked on again, then a full scholarship. I know what the recruiting process asks of a family because I went through all of it with nobody helping me.
Who I am

I went to a small school in North Georgia. My senior year, I was 5'7", 150 lbs, playing wide receiver.
I had no business playing Division I. Not at that size. Not at that position. Not out of that school.
I finished with zero offers and nobody in my corner.
I made my own way.
I walked on at Georgia State, then left for junior college to chase a scholarship and get in front of more programs. I played two seasons.
I came out with very little attention. One preferred walk-on opportunity at Troy was all I had.
I Bet on Myself.
I took the preferred walk-on opportunity.
I earned a starting job as a walk-on. I started more than half the season. We won a bowl game and finished the year ranked in the top 25.
That earned me a full scholarship to the University of West Florida, where I finished my career and graduated in 2019.
None of that happened because I was the most talented kid on the field. I wasn't.
Without God, I am nothing.
I had faith. I worked. God made a way where there wasn't one.
I did it the hardest possible way. I don't recommend it.
I pieced the recruiting process together myself. Not one coach in high school or college ever got me an offer.
I still think about how much further I could have gone if somebody had shown me how it worked at 15.
Talent was never what was missing. I had been good enough the whole time. Nobody knew I existed.
I've coached since then and worked on the recruiting side at the college level, helping source talent.
That's when I really understood it.
Coaches work from what reaches them.
I've been the undersized kid with no offers. I've been the walk-on who earned a starting job. I'm not guessing at this.
I won't promise you offers, scholarships, or a particular school. Anyone who does is lying to you.
My team and I have the systems in place to help your son exhaust every resource available to him.
Every opportunity pursued.
Every door knocked on.
Every stone turned over.
So when it's all said and done, you'll know you left it all on the field and you did everything you could to give your son a chance to play at the next level.

Tell families the truth
Including when the truth is that a player is not a Division I recruit. A parent who hears an honest evaluation early can still act on it. One who hears what they want to hear runs out of time.
Exposure is work, not luck
Getting recruited is a process with steps, deadlines, and people who have to be contacted repeatedly. It is not a matter of waiting to be discovered.
Every level is a real option
Junior college, Division II, Division III, NAIA. Coach Velez has played at several of these levels himself. The goal is the right fit, not the most recognizable logo.
The work is ours to carry
No family should have to learn recruiting on the fly while their son is in school and in season. We handle the strategy, the outreach and the communication with college staffs. He focuses on becoming the player they want.
